Grigore receives best paper nomination

Fifth year PhD student Corina Grigore received a best paper nomination at the Sixteenth International Conference on Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVA 2016) in Los Angeles, CA on September 20-23, 2016. Her paper Talk to Me: Verbal Communication Improves Perceptions of Friendship and Social Presence in Human-Robot Interaction highlights the advantages of using speech recognition as an input communication modality.
