André Pereira has accepted a postdoctoral associate position and will be joining our NSF Expedition in Socially Assistive Robotics team. André received his PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, under the supervision of Professor Rui Prada and Professor Ana Paiva. In his PhD, André studied how to increase social presence in socially intelligent board game opponents [click here for a video of his final thesis scenario].
His research interests lie in areas of Human-Robot Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, Socially Intelligent Agents and Digital Games.
