Henny Admoni and Iolanda Leite were selected to attend the ACM Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIGAI) Career Network and Conference co-located with AAAI 2015 in Austin, Texas. The goal of this conference is to support early-career scientists in their transition to independent research in academia, industry, or government. The selected attendees receive an ACM Travel Grant to attend the conference.

Their papers, “Nonverbal Communication for Human-Robot Interaction” (Admoni) and “Social Mechanisms to Support Long-term Interactions between Users and Robots” (Leite) were selected through an independent competitive application process.

Iolanda Leite is also one of the three Nominees for Best Submission.
