David Feil-Seifer Accepts Position at University of Nevada

Dr. David Feil-Seifer has accepted a position as Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada in Reno, NV. Dave joined the Yale University Social Robotics Lab as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2011 under the direction of Professor Brian Scassellati.
 
Dave graduated from the University of Rochester in 2003 with a B.S. in Computer Science. While there he was a founding member of the Undergraduate Robot Research Team, winner of the 2002 AAAI Mobile Host Competition. Dave received his M.S. in Computer Science in 2007 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2011 from the Viterbi School of Engineering (VSoE) at the University of Southern California. He worked in the Interaction Lab where his advisor was Prof. Maja Matarić.
 
He was awarded a National Science Foundation Computing Innovation Fellowship to support his work. He has also won the Viterbi School of Engineering Best Dissertation Award, the Mellon Mentoring Award, the Order of Arete, and the George Bekey Service award.
